Spiders are nasty. Can’t say I’m a full-blown arachnophobe, but they definitely creep me out.
So when author K. Lucas announced a new book with the tagline, “How many spiders can a human body contain?” my initial thought was, “There’s no way I’m reading that book.”
But read it I did.
Arachnophobia is K. Lucas’ first foray into horror. She didn’t miss. It’s pretty horrific.
There’s plenty of plot synopsis available online, so I’ll spare you that. (See links below.) Suffice it to say the book is about a spider invasion. It’s creepy AF.
This is the third book I’ve read by Lucas, and she keeps delivering (and getting better) with each one.
Compelling characters, with decent development. Good dialog. Well-paced. It’s not a difficult read, unless you count that feeling you get of things crawling under your skin…
I suggest reading it–with the lights on.
