You wake up, and your wife kills you. Then you wake up again, and your wife kills you. Again. And again. Seth is stuck in a time loop, repeating the same bad day over and over.
A very bad day.
Can he stop the loop? Can he live to see a day that doesn’t start with his own murder? Or is Seth doomed to eternally watching, and feeling, his wife kill him?
You’ll have to read You Kill Me to find out.
A different plot, not your typical rehashed-to-death trope so many authors (including some big ones) seem to do. It’s refreshing (albeit a bit shocking and gory at times).
I discovered K. Lucas on BookSirens, and can say after two of her books that I’m a fan. The writing is crisp, the story moves along at a good pace. Yes, it’s somewhat similar to the movie Groundhog Day. Well, not really similar at all other than the same day being replayed in a loop. Like Groundhog Day, the protagonist remembers events of the preceding loop. Maybe that will help Seth.
Maybe not.
Well worth a read.
Lucas’ latest book is Arachnophobia. Given the first line of the author’s blurb, I don’t know if I can handle this one. But I’m going to find out…
How many spiders can a human body contain?
